The upswept petals of the cyclamen
Remind my friend, to curve back again,
The whirling pedals of the cycle men
Race around the bend, prepare to ascend
Things are never as good as they seem
Like a laser beam, or that alien dream
Is it the journey or the destination?
A great migration, or a better nation?
This is life on earth
A glass can be more empty than full
Caught in the pull, with a red cape and bull
Feeling helpless is a feeling of pain
A forceful strain, an uncomfortable gain
But you know that light’s a continuum
See the outcome, might not be so glum
Is it the journey or the destination?
A great migration, or a better nation?
This is life on earth, (this is life on earth)
This is life on earth, got to get used to it
This is life on earth, (this is life on earth)
This is life on earth, what you gonna do with it?
No straight lines, everything is blurred and blended
No nothing worth doing is so easy
That’s why being free, takes a worker bee
There’s always cause to sweat the small stuff
Small can be tough, until there’s enough
It’s all those little things that matter
Without demur, that pot cannot stir
Is it the journey or the destination?
A great migration, or a better nation?
This is life on earth, (this is life on earth)
This is life on earth, got to get used to it
This is life on earth, (this is life on earth)
This is life on earth, what you gonna do with it?
